 Foundation in Health & Safety.
Duration - 1 day Max delegates - 15 This course is designed for employees in any field of work. It provides practical information and advice on a range of Health & Safety subjects, to ensure that all work activities are carried out safely. Topics covered include; Health & Safety legislation and management, accident prevention, safe use of equipment, occupational welfare,electricity, CoSHH, noise, fire safety, manual handling and first aid. Candidates will gain an awareness of; safe working practices, hazard recognition, safety signs & symbols and the importance of risk assessments. All course materials and attendence certificates are provided.  Health & Safety for the Carer.
Duration - 1 day Max delegates - 15 This course is designed for those working in the care environment. It's aim is to provide the information and advice necessary to allow carers to carry out their roles in a safe manner, compliant with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. The course includes information on CoSHH, Fire, Risk Assessments, Manual Handling and First Aid. There will be practical exercises, to include the control of hazards, minimising risks and the use of Personal Protective Equipment. The roles and responsibilities of carers will be discussed, along with individual company policies on safe working practices. All course materials and attendence certificates are provided.  CIEH Level 2 Health & Safety in the workplace.
Duration - 1 day Max delegates - 15 Employers have a responsibility to provide safe working conditions. Employees have an equal responsibility to ensure their working conditions are safe and that they are given appropriate training for individual tasks. This course is designed to equip employees, in any field of work, with an understanding of the principles of Health& Safety, and so reduce the risk of injury to themselves and of damage to property. Course content includes; Health & Safety legislation and management, accident prevention, safe use of equipment & Personal Protective Equipment and occupational welfare. Fire safety, first aid, electricity, hazardous materials, noise and manual handling are also covered. Candidates will complete a multiple choice exam paper at the end of the course, which may,if required, be conducted orally. Candidates achieving 20 or more correct answers will be awarded the CIEH Level 2 Health & Safety Certificate. All course materials are provided.  Health & Safety in the Nursery.
Duration - 1 day Max delegates - 15 A course specifically aimed at carers of babies and young children in the nursery environment, to ensure safe working practices. The course includes all the elements of basic Health & Safety, with particular emphasis on potential hazards to be found in the nursery; CoSHH, electricity, accident prevention, fire safety, safe use of play equipment etc. All course materials and attendence certificates are provided. |
